Michael DePaulo: From New York Fashion Week to the Country Music Hall of Fame

Fashion designer Michael DePaulo recently donated the red ballgown worn by Carrie Underwood on her 2020 holiday album, "My Gift," to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. The gown will be featured in curated exhibitions at the museum. Underwood selected the red ballgown from DePaulo's fall 2016 collection, which he showcased during New York Fashion Week. DePaulo expressed his excitement about the gown being displayed at the museum, calling it one of his favorite pieces.
DePaulo, based in New York, is renowned for his sculptural bridal and eveningwear designs that showcase intricate embroideries and beading. In addition to dressing Carrie Underwood, he has designed for celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Kate Beckinsale, Camila Cabello, and Lea Michele. His collection includes a variety of silhouettes, from grand ballgowns to sexy sheaths and formfitting jumpsuits. DePaulo's designs are available at retailers such as Stanley Korshak in Texas and Bridal Reflections in New York City, as well as through trunk shows at Saks and Mark Ingram.
Having graduated with an architecture degree from Northeastern University in 2004, DePaulo transitioned to fashion design in 2006 when he established his own company. He is preparing to showcase his spring 2026 collection at Radio Park in Rockefeller Center on September 12 at noon. The designer's passion for creating unique and elegant designs has garnered him a loyal following among celebrities and fashion enthusiasts alike. The donation of Carrie Underwood's iconic red ballgown to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum further solidifies DePaulo's status as a prominent figure in the fashion industry.
