Metallica's Maximum Metallica: Club Concert Debut and SiriusXM Channel Launch
Metallica is set to perform a special club concert on Thursday, August 28 to mark the debut of their new music channel, "Maximum Metallica," on SiriusXM. The concert will be held at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, Long Island, with the channel officially launching the next day on Channel 42 and the SiriusXM app. A recording of the concert will premiere on the channel the following Monday at 12 p.m. ET.
The announcement was made by drummer Lars Ulrich during an appearance on SiriusXM's "Howard Stern Show." Subscribers and fans can enter for a chance to attend the concert, which will also be rebroadcast throughout the week on Maximum Metallica (ch. 42) and on the SiriusXM app. The full concert will also air on Howard Stern's SiriusXM channel Howard 101 on Friday, September 5 at 7:00 pm ET and PT.
The new channel, dubbed "The Most Metallica Anywhere," will feature a mix of hits, deep cuts, live performances, and behind-the-scenes stories from the band. Fans can look forward to rare recordings, exclusive interviews, and surprises handpicked by the band members themselves. Maximum Metallica is scheduled to launch on Friday, August 29 at 12 p.m. ET and will be accessible for free in all SiriusXM-equipped vehicles throughout September.
