Panorama High School Flag Football Team Prepares for New Season with Dynamic Duo at the Helm

Panorama High School's flag football team had a successful season last year, winning the Valley Mission League. The team is gearing up for an exciting new season starting this month, with quarterback Yadhira Hermenegildo and receiver Livier Andrade leading the charge. Hermenegildo threw an impressive 47 touchdowns as a sophomore, while Andrade caught 25 touchdowns. The team's first game is on August 20 against Bishop Alemany. Despite their success, defending City Section Open Division champion Banning is still considered the favorite, with San Pedro and Birmingham expected to be tough competitors. New rules allowing defenses to be closer to the line of scrimmage will challenge quarterbacks to adapt their strategies early in the season, potentially relying more on their mobility and quick passes to succeed.
