Recent Arrests Made in Response to Green Sex Toy Incidents at WNBA Games

A second arrest has been made in response to the ongoing incidents of green sex toys being thrown onto courts during WNBA games. The latest suspect, 18-year-old Kaden Lopez from Arizona, was apprehended for allegedly throwing a sex toy into the crowd during a recent Phoenix Mercury and Connecticut Sun game.
According to police, Lopez took the sex toy out of his sweater pocket during the game and hurled it towards the seats in front of him, hitting a spectator in the back. Video footage captured the incident, showing Lopez throwing the object and then leaving the area.
Another spectator was also reportedly struck by the object, prompting the arrest of Lopez. The adult male victim, who was watching the game with his 9-year-old niece, expressed a desire for prosecution after being hit by the sex toy.
In a separate incident, 23-year-old Delbert Carver was arrested for throwing a similar sex toy onto the court during a game between the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries. The WNBA emphasized the importance of safety and stated that fans who throw objects onto the court will face immediate ejection, a minimum one-year ban, and potential arrest and prosecution.
During a game between the Indiana Fever and the Los Angeles Sparks, Sophie Cunningham, a standout player for the Fever, was seemingly hit by a projectile sex toy in the final minutes of the second quarter. The league is taking these incidents seriously to ensure the safety of players, officials, and fans in the arenas.
