Warner Bros. Discovery's shareholders received a letter announcing that filming for Matt Reeves' The Batman Part II will commence in the spring for a theatrical release on October 1, 2027. According to the Production List, The Batman Part II, starring Robert Pattinson, has officially entered the pre-production stage. Pattinson will reprise his role as the Dark Knight, with Colin Farrell returning as The Penguin. The film was initially scheduled for a 2025 release but faced delays. Director Matt Reeves confirmed that the script was still in progress and filming was expected to start by the end of the year.
