Arkansas PBS Music Extravaganza: A Lineup of Iconic Concert Specials in August
Arkansas PBS is bringing viewers a series of concert specials this August, featuring a lineup of iconic music performances. The music extravaganza begins with "Neil Diamond: Hot August Night/NYC," showcasing Diamond's hits from his sold-out run at Madison Square Garden. The concert will air on August 9 and 10. Following that, the "60s and 70s Soul Celebration" will feature legendary soul artists like The Temptations and James Brown on August 9 and 10, 12, and 15.
On August 11, guitar legend Joe Bonamassa will take the stage at the Hollywood Bowl with a 40-piece orchestra, performing a selection of his popular tracks. Viewers can also catch this special on August 16. Additionally, tickets will be available for Bonamassa's live show in Fayetteville on November 25.
The music journey continues on August 12 with "All New Rock, Pop and Doo Wop," a concert featuring music performers from the late 1950s and early 1960s. This special will also air on August 16. On August 14, "Johnny Cash: We Walk the Line" will pay tribute to the music icon on what would have been his 80th birthday.
