South Park Season 27 Takes Aim at MAGA Personalities: Secretary Kristi Noem in the Spotlight

The latest season of the popular animated series South Park takes aim at prominent MAGA personalities, with Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem being the latest target. In the recent episode titled “Got a Nut,” Noem is portrayed as a gun-obsessed government official who deports immigrants and has a history of killing dogs. The show humorously depicts her shooting Superman’s flying dog, Krypto, and highlights her excessive use of Botox and plastic surgery, causing her face to fall apart. President Donald Trump even fires her in the episode because her appearance “freaks him out.”
Following the parody, Noem criticized the show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, for being “lazy” and “petty” in their portrayal of her appearance. While she didn’t take issue with the content about her policies, she condemned the focus on her looks. South Park's Season 27 has also targeted other Republican figures like Vice President JD Vance, who took the parody in stride, acknowledging his appearance on the show.
The show's satirical take on the White House has stirred controversy, especially with its depictions of Trump and other political figures. Despite this, Paramount, the parent company of Comedy Central, has stood by South Park, emphasizing the creators' talent and their history of being "equal opportunity offenders." The show continues to push boundaries and make headlines with its irreverent humor, available for streaming on HBO Max and Paramount+.
