Team USA Names Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll and Kalder Varga as Alternate Captains for 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup
Team USA has announced Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll and Kalder Varga as alternate captains for the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Gordon-Carroll previously led Team USA to a gold medal at the 2024 Youth Olympic Games and is coming off a successful season with the WHL Championship-winning Medicine Hat Tigers. Varga, a rookie with the Kelowna Rockets, was a top-10 scorer on his team and was selected seventh overall in the 2023 U.S. Priority Draft. Team USA will kick off their tournament against Slovakia on August 11.
