Kevin Eastman, one of the creators of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, recently shared that actor Joe Manganiello has shown interest in playing Casey Jones in a potential live-action sequel to the 1990 hit movie. Eastman mentioned that Manganiello, a big fan of the Turtles, would be a great fit for a future TMNT project set in the future, inspired by Eastman's 2022 comic, The Last Ronin. He also expressed his desire for actress Judith Hoag to reprise her role as April O'Neil in a new film.

While discussions about a new live-action TMNT movie are ongoing among Hollywood producers and Paramount, Eastman emphasized the uncertainty of such projects in the industry. The original 1990 film's success led to numerous sequels, an animated series, and reboots, keeping the franchise alive for decades.
