On August 9, 2025, law enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop on Caratoke Highway due to multiple traffic violations. The search of the vehicle led to the arrest of both individuals inside. Johnny Fuller Jr., 46, from Currituck, was charged with various drug-related offenses, including trafficking in Fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tracy Page, 39, also from Currituck, faced similar charges. Fuller received a $200,000 secured bond, while Page was placed on a 48-hour hold. The Cadillac SRX they were in was seized as part of the investigation.
