The participating teams included the St. Louis AAA Lady Blues, Carolina Jr. Canes, San Jose Jr. Sharks, Arizona Kachinas, and Milwaukee Jr. Admirals. They competed in a round-robin tournament format with a minimum of four games and a championship match.
