Fatal Street-Racing Crash in New Jersey: Extradition of Suspects Captured on TikTok

Last week, a TikTok video captured the extradition of two individuals involved in a fatal street-racing crash in New Jersey after they were arrested in Miami. Alvi Limani, 20, from Staten Island, was accused of reckless driving during a race on the Garden State Parkway on June 29, resulting in a collision with two other vehicles and a rollover. Tragically, Albion Hysenaj, 20, also from Staten Island, lost his life in the crash, while another passenger sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. Limani and a passenger fled the crash site, with Limani later attempting to leave the country with his mother, Vilma Vneshta, 42, before being apprehended in Miami.
Limani and Vneshta were taken into custody near Miami and were awaiting extradition to New Jersey. A TikTok video shared by user @Jhongb85 depicted the moment when Limani and Vneshta were escorted by law enforcement at a New York airport. Limani faced multiple charges, including vehicular homicide, while Vneshta was charged with hindering. Another passenger, Emily Harrington, 19, from Staten Island, who allegedly fled the scene with Limani, was charged with hindering, obstruction, and conspiracy. Jeter Ogando, 23, from Perth Amboy, who was driving the other vehicle involved in the race, faced charges of vehicular homicide, endangering another, and assault by auto.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are seeking additional information or surveillance footage from the public. Anyone with relevant details is encouraged to contact the Holmdel Station Criminal Investigation Office or the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
