Kevin Cronin Band: Continuing the Legacy of REO Speedwagon

Kevin Cronin, the long-time frontman of REO Speedwagon, faced challenges as the band underwent changes. In September 2024, the band announced its dissolution due to irreconcilable differences between Cronin and bassist Bruce Hall. This led to the formation of the Kevin Cronin Band, with Cronin continuing to tour with the same musicians from REO Speedwagon. Despite the name change, Cronin insists that the Kevin Cronin Band offers the same REO Speedwagon experience to fans.

The Kevin Cronin Band will be performing at Blossom Music Center on August 20 as part of the "Brotherhood of Rock Tour" with Styx and Don Felder. Cronin emphasizes that the audience response to the band's performances remains positive, showcasing the enduring appeal of REO Speedwagon's classic songs. Despite the acrimony between Cronin and Hall, Cronin remains open to the possibility of a reunion with former bandmates in the future.

Cronin is currently focused on completing the "Brotherhood of Rock" tour with Styx and Don Felder. While uncertain about the future of the Kevin Cronin Band, he plans to work on new music and finish a memoir. Despite the challenges of transitioning from REO Speedwagon to the Kevin Cronin Band, Cronin remains dedicated to his music and is prepared for whatever the future holds.
