Prayers for Racing Trainer Bill Turner: Critical Condition After Horse Fall
A racing trainer is currently in critical condition in the hospital after falling from a horse during a training session. Bill Turner, a seasoned horseman who recently celebrated his 78th birthday, sustained a severe head injury in the incident at his stable in Dorset. He was quickly taken to the hospital, where medical professionals discovered that he had a fractured skull.
Matt Chapman, a presenter on Sky Sports Racing, shared that he had been in contact with Turner's family, including his wife Tracy and daughter Kathy, who are involved in managing the stable located on the border of Dorset and Somerset. According to Chapman, Turner was riding a young horse on the gallops when the accident occurred, causing him to fall and suffer the skull fracture. Currently, Turner is in the hospital receiving treatment and is on a ventilator. The family is facing a difficult decision in the coming days regarding whether to continue life support.
Chapman has called on the racing community to keep Turner in their thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. Turner, who oversees a dozen horses and holds a license with the British Horseracing Authority, has a notable track record, having trained six winners of the prestigious Brocklesby Stakes at Doncaster.
