Toronto Film Festival 2025 Lineup Revealed: World Premieres, North American Debuts, and More!

Toronto's 2025 film lineup has been finalized with the addition of six new titles, bringing the total number of films to 291, including 209 features and 66 short films. Among the highlights are world premieres for Pablo Trapero's English language debut, & Sons, featuring Bill Nighy, Noah Jupe, and Matt Smith, and Claire Denis's Africa-set film, The Fence, starring Mia McKenna-Bruce and Matt Dillon. The festival will also feature North American premieres for several Venice titles, including Cedric Jimenez's thriller Dog 51 and Park Chan-wook's dark comedy, No Other Choice.
Other notable films making their North American debut at the Toronto Film Festival include Olivier Assayas' political thriller, The Wizard of the Kremlin, and Kaouther Ben Hania's drama, The Voice of Hind Rajab, which tells the story of a 6-year-old Palestinian girl killed in Gaza in 2024. These latest additions to the lineup signal a strong return for the festival following the disruptions caused by the pandemic and the 2023 Hollywood actors strike.
The Toronto Film Festival is scheduled to take place from September 4 to 14, opening with Colin Hanks' documentary, John Candy: I Like Me. With a diverse selection of films from around the world, the festival promises to showcase the best in contemporary cinema and provide a platform for emerging and established filmmakers to share their work with audiences.
