Alter Bridge Announces Blackbird Festival at Cardiff Castle: A Celebration of Music and Welsh Culture

Alter Bridge is set to host their own music festival, the Blackbird Festival, at Cardiff Castle in Wales next year. The festival will take place on June 27 and will feature a lineup with a strong Welsh presence. The band decided to organize the event as a way to make up for not playing in Wales for over seven years and to show appreciation to their Welsh fans. Tickets for the festival will go on sale on August 22 via blackbirdfest.com and Ticketmaster, with presales starting on August 19 via depotlive.co.uk/blackbirdfestival2026.
The Blackbird Festival will be part of a busy 2026 for Alter Bridge, as they are also gearing up for the release of their eighth studio album on January 9. The band will kick off the year with a European tour, starting in Hamburg, Germany, on January 15 and concluding in Nottingham, UK, on March 5. The tour will cover various cities across Europe, including Oslo, Stockholm, Berlin, Budapest, Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon, Paris, Amsterdam, and more.
The festival lineup will include support from ragga-metal veterans Skindred and Welsh rock bands Florence Black and Cardinal Black. Alter Bridge's upcoming album release and European tour will set the stage for the Blackbird Festival, offering fans an exciting year of music and live performances. Don't miss the chance to be part of this special event at Cardiff Castle and celebrate over 20 years of Alter Bridge with a memorable music experience.
