Kevin Cronin Band Faces Challenges After Split from REO Speedwagon

Kevin Cronin, the former lead singer of REO Speedwagon, made a decision to no longer tour under the band's name due to disagreements with bassist Bruce Hall. He now performs with the Kevin Cronin Band, which includes REO Speedwagon members Dave Amato and Bryan Hitt. Despite their current tour with Styx and Don Felder, the change in name has posed challenges for Cronin as fans are more familiar with the REO Speedwagon brand and logo. As a result, the Kevin Cronin Band will no longer tour, and the crew will pursue other projects after fulfilling their current commitments.

Cronin had to cancel upcoming shows in Georgia, Alabama, and Nevada, but will still perform on the Rock Legends Cruise in February 2026. He expressed difficulties in maintaining the band's organization and crew due to the lack of recognition and demand compared to REO Speedwagon. While Cronin's decision may hint at a possible return to REO Speedwagon, it would require reconciliation with Bruce Hall, who was replaced on the band's final tour.

Despite the challenges faced by the Kevin Cronin Band, Cronin remains committed to his current tour with Styx and Don Felder. The upcoming shows include performances in Toronto, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois. Tickets for these shows are currently available for purchase.
