Mid-Michigan's newest professional basketball team, the Saginaw Soul, has secured a venue for their home games. The team will be partnering with the former Buena Vista High School to host their games in the Basketball Super League. The gym at Buena Vista High School will be transformed into a professional venue in preparation for the Soul's first home game on November 15.

After an extensive search for a home court, the Saginaw Soul decided on Buena Vista High School due to its great structure and potential for transformation. The team owner, Kelly Garety, expressed excitement about the opportunity to bring professional basketball to this historic venue.

The decision to host games at Buena Vista High School came after exploring other options like the Dow Event Center, Saginaw Valley State University, and Delta College. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, the team remained committed to keeping the Soul in Saginaw.

Renovation plans for the gym include new paint, upgraded lighting, branded seating, and the creation of suites in the upper loft. The goal is to create an arena-like atmosphere that will enhance the fan experience during games.
