Atlético Dallas and City of Garland Unveil $70.87 Million Soccer Complex Project

Atlético Dallas has secured a new location for its headquarters and training facilities in Garland, Texas. The city has approved a lease for a $70.87 million soccer complex project that will house the team's offices and training center, along with eight soccer fields for youth academy play. The project aims to provide quality-of-life amenities for the people of Garland and attract new development and regional tourism.
The multi-purpose soccer complex will be situated at the intersection of Holford Road and the President George Bush Turnpike. The 22,000 square-foot facility will feature team offices, locker rooms, physical therapy and dining facilities, a team store, and more. This initiative is a partnership between Atlético Dallas and the City of Garland to create a hub for nurturing talent, fostering community growth, and bringing professional sports to the area.
Construction of the complex is scheduled to commence in 2026, with a projected completion date in 2027. The development plan also includes nearly 14 acres of adjacent commercially zoned land, earmarked for future hotel, multifamily, and retail establishments to cater to residents and visiting fans. Atlético Dallas, a United Soccer League (USL) expansion team, is set to play its home matches at the Cotton Bowl starting in 2027.
The soccer fields and training facilities in Garland will be owned by the city but managed by Atlético Dallas. The complex will offer year-round programming, including recreational and competitive leagues, tournaments, and youth training sessions, all overseen by Atlético Dallas. This project signifies a significant step forward in providing a dedicated space for soccer development and community engagement in Garland.
In conclusion, the partnership between Atlético Dallas and the City of Garland represents a commitment to fostering talent, promoting sports, and enhancing the quality of life for residents. The new soccer complex will not only serve as a training ground for aspiring athletes but also as a hub for community activities and regional tourism.
