Capturing Country: The Photography of Ed Rode at the Country Music Hall of Fame®

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has introduced a new photography exhibition titled Writers, Pickers and Stars: The Photography of Ed Rode. This exhibit showcases images from Rode's book, "Songwriter Musician: Behind the Curtain with Nashville's Iconic Storytellers and Players," published in 2024. Visitors can enjoy this free exhibit on the museum's first-floor gallery until July 2026.

Rode's book is a collection of stories captured through his lens over the years, including moments like playing snooker with John Prine, celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans with Brad Paisley, and exploring Tennessee with Ketch Secor. The inspiration for the book came from a photo Rode took of Chet Atkins, a Country Music Hall of Fame member, whom he met shortly after relocating to Nashville in 1990.

Some of the featured photographs in the exhibition include intimate moments with iconic musicians like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and Emmylou Harris. These images offer a glimpse into the lives and personalities of these legendary figures in the country music industry.

Visitors to the exhibit can immerse themselves in the rich history and culture of country music through Rode's captivating photography. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to see behind-the-scenes moments and candid interactions that showcase the essence of Nashville's music scene.

Don't miss the chance to experience the magic of country music through the lens of Ed Rode at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. This exhibition is a must-see for music enthusiasts and photography lovers alike, offering a rare glimpse into the world of Nashville's iconic storytellers and musicians.
