SilverStar Mountain Resort's RNDM Friday Night Race Series Update: Aug. 15 Race Postponed Due to Rain
The weekly bike race at SilverStar Mountain Resort has been postponed due to rain. The RNDM Friday Night Race on Chien Chaud, scheduled for tonight, has been canceled as a result of the inclement weather. This race was supposed to be the sixth in the series and one of the final events. The races are part of an eight-stage series where points are awarded based on finish placement. At the end of the series, medals will be awarded to the top performers. Each week features a new trail, and participants have the option to race in as few as one or as many as all the races. Typically, riders would pick up their bibs between 3 and 5 p.m., warm up from 4 to 5 p.m., and start racing at 5:15 p.m., finishing by 6:45 p.m. With the cancellation of the Aug. 15 race, the next race is scheduled for Aug. 22, and the series will conclude on Aug. 29.
