Quentin Tarantino's Film Favorites and Future Projects: A Deep Dive

Quentin Tarantino recently shared his thoughts on his favorite and best movies during an interview on “The Church of Tarantino” podcast. He revealed that "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is his favorite film, while he considers "Inglorious Bastards" to be his best work. However, he believes that "Kill Bill" is the ultimate Quentin movie, as it embodies his imagination, passion, and obsession.

Tarantino also discussed his favorite screenplays, naming "Inglorious Bastards" as his best script, with "Hateful Eight" and "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood" following closely behind. He highlighted the directing aspect of "Hateful Eight" as his best in terms of servicing his material.

Despite his fondness for "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," Tarantino decided not to direct the sequel, "The Adventures of Cliff Booth," which will be helmed by David Fincher for Netflix. Tarantino expressed that the idea of his final film being a sequel did not excite him, as he prefers to venture into uncharted territory for his last project.

Tarantino also touched on his scrapped 10th and final film, "The Movie Critic," explaining that he abandoned the project because it felt too similar to his previous work. He emphasized the challenge and excitement of creating something new and different, rather than revisiting familiar themes and settings.
