Female Suspect Arrested for Threatening President Trump in Washington, D.C.

A female suspect was arrested and charged in Washington, D.C. for threatening to kill President Donald Trump, according to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro. Nathalie Rose Jones was charged with threatening the president after traveling from New York to Washington and making threats on social media. Pirro stated that Jones will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
President Trump deployed the National Guard in Washington, D.C. on August 11 to address violent crime in the city. Nearly 400 individuals have been arrested since the federal takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced. Pirro also reported that 137 arrests were made over the weekend, with 21 illegal guns seized.
Washington, D.C. has seen high-profile violent crime incidents in 2025, including the fatal shootings of a congressional intern and two Israeli Embassy staffers. The administration took aggressive action in August following a brutal beating of a Department of Government Efficiency staffer during a carjacking attempt. Two assassination attempts on Trump's life occurred in July 2024 and September 2024.
