Jack White Criticizes Trump's White House Decor and Plans for UFC Fight: A Closer Look
Jack White, the former White Stripes frontman, recently criticized Donald Trump's White House redecoration efforts following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders. White described the Oval Office as resembling a "professional wrestler's dressing room" due to its gaudy and gold leafed decor.
Trump's plans for a UFC fight at the White House to celebrate American independence in 2026 were also mentioned by White, who expressed disdain for the president's taste and suggested that a gold-plated Trump bible and shoes would fit right in with the decor.
White highlighted Trump's alterations to the White House, including a gold "Trump" crest over the door and gold monuments in the Rose Garden. He contrasted Trump's taste with praise for Zelenskyy, calling him a "REAL leader of a nation in a black suit."
In addition to his criticism of Trump's White House decor, White has been involved in legal action against the unauthorized use of his music in Trump's campaign videos. Last year, he filed a copyright infringement lawsuit over the use of The White Stripes' song "Seven Nation Army" in a political video, stating, "This machine sues fascists."
White also expressed his belief that those who supported Trump will distance themselves from him once he is no longer in power. His outspoken criticism of Trump's actions and policies continues to be a prominent aspect of his public persona.
