Pete Townshend's Exciting Plans for the Future: One-Man Shows, New Music, and Potential Collaborations

Pete Townshend recently shared in an interview with AARP that he has exciting plans for his future in the music industry. Following The Who's farewell tour in September, the 80-year-old rock icon intends to continue performing "one-man shows" and has a collection of 140 tracks ready for release. Townshend is optimistic about his longevity in show business, estimating another five years of active involvement. He is determined to finish his solo album, The Age of Anxiety, and hopes to debut new material while touring. Although The Who's final scheduled performance in Las Vegas on September 28 marks the end of the band's touring days, Townshend hints at potential future collaborations with Roger Daltrey for charity events and special appearances. While the band's farewell tour is ongoing, the next show is set for Saturday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
