Project Runway Season 21 Episode Recap: High Stakes and Tension in the Workroom

In the latest episode of Season 21 of Freeform's Project Runway, designers Antonio and Jesus Estrada faced elimination after a challenging unconventional materials challenge. The tension was high as the contestants had to vote on who should leave the competition. Ultimately, Joseph McCrae was eliminated, leaving his friends and fellow contestants shaken by the loss.

The remaining designers were immediately given a new challenge by mentor Christian Siriano to create a runway-caliber look entirely made of fabric. Despite the solo nature of the challenge, the twins, Jesus and Antonio, continued to support each other, causing some jealousy among the other contestants. The tension escalated when the twins were dared to work separately, but they ultimately ended up shopping for fabric together.

As the designers worked on their new looks, emotions ran high, with Jesus breaking down in the workroom due to sleep deprivation and stress. The judges, including guest judge Jenna Lyons, critiqued the designers' creations, with Jesus receiving praise for his dress but also facing criticism for similarities to his previous designs. Antonio found himself in the bottom three once again for his outfit, which received mixed reviews from the judges.

The stakes are high for the winner of the competition, with a prize of $200,000 in seed money, a feature spread in Elle Magazine, and a mentorship with the Council of Fashion Designers of America. To see who will be eliminated next, don't miss Project Runway airing every Thursday on Freeform, Disney+, and Hulu.
