Bo Horvat's Olympic Dream: From Islanders Center to Team Canada Hopeful
Bo Horvat, a center for the New York Islanders, has been invited to Hockey Canada's Olympic orientation camp in Calgary, AB. He sees this as a great honor and is excited about the opportunity to potentially represent Canada at the Olympic Winter Games in Milan. Horvat recalls watching Sidney Crosby's golden goal in the 2010 Olympics and never imagined he would have the chance to compete in the Olympics himself. Horvat has been a consistent performer for the Islanders, ranking 22nd among Canadian forwards in scoring over the last three seasons. He is focused on improving his game every day through rigorous offseason training to give himself the best chance of making the Olympic team. Despite a recent ankle injury during the World Championships, Horvat has fully recovered and is ready for the upcoming season.
