Carolina Hurricanes Foundation Hosts Community Game to Support Local Nonprofits and Programs

The Carolina Hurricanes Foundation, led by President Doug Warf, has had a remarkable year of giving, donating a record $1.7 million to support various community programs and initiatives in the Triangle and North Carolina during the 2024-25 season. To continue their impactful work, the Foundation is hosting a Community Game on September 24 at Lenovo Center, where all ticket revenue will directly benefit local nonprofit organizations and community programs.

Amy Daniels, Executive Director of the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation, emphasized the importance of the Community Game in furthering their mission of supporting hurricane relief, youth programs, and health and education initiatives. Discounted general admission tickets for the game will be available for $10, with reserved seats in the first row on the glass priced at $100 and seats in the second through fifth rows at $50. Fans can purchase up to eight tickets on a first-come, first-served basis, and complimentary parking will be provided with additional donations accepted.

Warf highlighted the Foundation's commitment to giving back to the community, stating that the Community Game exemplifies the organization's values and dedication to supporting the people of North Carolina. Thanks to the support of Hurricanes fans, partners, Season Ticket Members, players, and staff, the Foundation achieved its most successful year of giving in its 25-year history in 2024-25. Major grant recipients included organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of Wake County, GiGi’s Playhouse, Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines, and the Cape Fear Youth Hockey Association, among others.

In addition to these grants, the Hurricanes Foundation supported a wide range of organizations in 2024-25, including Arts For Life, Book Harvest, Carolina Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA), Greensboro Youth Hockey Association, NeighborHealth Center, Note in the Pocket, The Carying Place, and many more. The Foundation's generosity and impact extend beyond the hockey rink, making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities throughout North Carolina.
