Exploring the Legacy of Planet Us: The Short-Lived Hard Rock Supergroup That Almost Was

Do you remember the short-lived hard rock supergroup Planet Us? Formed in 2002, the band consisted of Sammy Hagar, Neal Schon, Deen Castronovo, and Michael Anthony, with Joe Satriani joining later. Despite their talent, the band faced challenges and only recorded two unreleased songs, "Peeping Through A Hole" and "Vertigo." Unfortunately, due to various obstacles like touring and health issues, Planet Us never completed their debut album and only performed together four times.
While Planet Us may not have had a lasting impact, it paved the way for the creation of Chickenfoot, another band that included Hagar, Anthony, Satriani, and Chad Smith. Despite their brief time together, Planet Us left a mark on the music scene, showcasing the talent of its members and the potential for collaboration in the world of rock music.
