Stove: Lana Del Rey's Highly Anticipated Country Album Update

Lana Del Rey has provided an update on her upcoming country album in a recent W Magazine feature. The album, now titled Stove, was previously known as Lasso and The Right Person Will Stay. Originally set for a May 2024 release, Stove is now expected to be released at the end of January, according to the profile.
In November 2024, Lana revealed that the album, then named The Right Person Will Stay, would be released on May 21, 2025, featuring 13 tracks. She postponed the album's release to add six more songs, which turned out to be more autobiographical than anticipated, requiring additional time to record, as she shared with W Magazine.
Stove will be produced by country music icon Luke Laird and Lana's longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff. The album's creation began eight years ago, well before country music gained popularity on the pop charts. Lana reflects on the changing landscape, noting the shift towards country music and questioning whether she should retire her snakeskin boots and store her cowboy hats.
Lana Del Rey's previous album, 2023's Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd., was well-received. In 2025, she released two singles, "Henry, come on" and "Bluebird," along with a preview of an unreleased track that includes references to Ethel Cain. The anticipation for Stove continues to build as fans eagerly await its release.
