The tournament featured 16 teams, with only three players from each team playing at a time. Canada dominated the pool games, defeating Uganda and Austria with scores of 21-6 and 21-11, respectively. This strong performance propelled Canada to the playoff rounds.
In the playoff rounds, Brown and Team Canada continued their winning streak by defeating teams from Mongolia and the United States, setting up a gold medal match against Austria.
