The Voice of Hind Rajab: Tunisia's Oscar Submission for Best International Feature Film

Tunisia has chosen Kaouther Ben Hania's film, The Voice of Hind Rajab, as its submission for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards. The movie tells the story of the tragic events surrounding the killing of six-year-old Hind Rajab and her family members in Gaza City in January 2024. The selection was made by a committee of film and TV professionals overseen by Tunisia's National Center for Cinema and Image. The film is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival and has garnered support from Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix, and Alfonso Cuaron.
Kaouther Ben Hania is a highly acclaimed Tunisian director known for her previous works like Four Daughters and The Man Who Sold His Skin, both of which received recognition at prestigious film festivals and awards ceremonies. The Voice of Hind Rajab is produced by Nadim Cheikhrouha under Mime Films and Tanit Films, with additional producers from RaeFilm Studios and Jw Films Production. International sales for the film are being handled by The Party Film Sales based in Paris.
