Field of Dreams Concert Weekend: Traffic Tips and Event Details

Excitement is building as the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa, prepares to host two days of concerts, expected to draw around 20,000 attendees. Event organizers and law enforcement are advising visitors to be patient and prepared for traffic delays. Gates will open at 9 a.m., with peak traffic expected between 3 and 6 p.m. The Field of Dreams will be closed to non-concert attendees on both Saturday and Sunday.
Travel Dubuque President & CEO Keith Rahe emphasizes the importance of planning ahead and allowing extra time for travel due to potential traffic congestion. Dubuque County Sheriff Joe Kennedy recalls the challenges faced during the 2022 Major League Baseball game at the Field of Dreams, urging visitors to be prepared for potential delays when leaving the venue.
Sheriff Kennedy suggests using Dyersville East Road and Holy Cross Road to access the Field of Dreams from the north, through Holy Cross and Bankston, to help alleviate traffic congestion. While traffic may be frustrating, U.S. Concert Agency Founder Nick Abate is looking forward to seeing attendees enjoy the music and the culmination of years of planning.
A previously planned shuttle service has been cancelled, but those who purchased shuttle tickets can park for free by showing their ticket at the site. Concertgoers are allowed to bring a folding chair and one bottle of water, as there will not be water stations available on-site. Additional information can be found on the Field of Dreams movie site’s website.
As the event approaches, organizers are working to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees. Plan ahead, be patient, and get ready to enjoy a memorable weekend of music at the iconic Field of Dreams location.
