Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani Injured in Car Accident: Updates on His Recovery

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was involved in a serious car accident in New Hampshire over the weekend, resulting in a fractured vertebrae and multiple cuts and bruises. The 81-year-old Giuliani was driving a rental car when it was rear-ended, causing injuries to his left arm and lower leg. Despite the accident, Giuliani stopped to assist a woman who was a victim of domestic violence before emergency services arrived.
Giuliani, who served as mayor from 1994 to 2021, is currently hospitalized in the Manchester area and is expected to remain there for a few more days. He will then need to wear a brace for his fractured vertebrae. Despite the injuries, Giuliani's spokesperson, Michael Ragusa, mentioned that the former mayor is in good spirits and is known for his resilience, having survived the 9/11 attacks.
Maria Ryan, Giuliani's business partner and a nurse, is assisting in overseeing his care during his hospitalization. Further tests and stabilization of his injuries are being conducted to ensure his recovery. The accident occurred after Giuliani had re-entered his vehicle following the initial incident with the woman in need of help. The former mayor's team is optimistic about his recovery and well-being in the coming days.
