JerryFest 2025: Celebrating 60 Years of Grateful Dead Music in Five Points

The annual JerryFest music festival returned to Columbia's historic Five Points district on October 5, 2025, celebrating 60 years of Grateful Dead music and influence. The free outdoor festival featured regional bands across two stages, offering a day full of music, food, and community. JerryFest, originally founded by Loose Lucy's, has become one of Five Points' most anticipated events, drawing thousands of festivalgoers each year.

This year's JerryFest showcased five bands across two stages: Greene Street Stage and Fountain Stage. The festival aimed to honor the legacy of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia, bringing together music enthusiasts of all ages to experience the joy and community that the band has created over six decades.

In addition to the music, JerryFest offered various highlights, including artisan crafts, food, beverage vendors, and bohemian merchandise. Admission to the festival was free, with a No Pet Policy in place (service animals excepted). JerryFest 2025 was presented by the Five Points Association and Loose Lucy's, continuing the tradition of celebrating music and community in the heart of Columbia.

Since its inception in 2014, JerryFest has welcomed thousands to Five Points for an afternoon of fellowship and music, paying tribute to Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. Loose Lucy's, Columbia's original "mom-and-pop hippie shop," has been a key partner in organizing the festival, offering a variety of tie-dyes, rock tees, incense, and more for festival attendees.

The Five Points Association, as the advocate for the district's businesses, works to enhance the vitality of Five Points and promote the area to Columbia and beyond. With over 100 years of history, Five Points continues to thrive as an iconic destination, thanks to the support of businesses, residents, partners, and the City of Columbia. The association's efforts focus on beautification, collaboration, and development to uphold the historic legacy of Columbia's original village neighborhood.
