Frieze Seoul 2025: Paradise Art Night Sets the Stage for a Star-Studded Opening

Frieze Seoul celebrated its grand opening for the 2025 edition during the annual Paradise Art Night at Paradise City, Incheon on September 1, 2025. The event brought together celebrities from the music, fashion, and film industries for a night of art exhibitions, performances, and high-profile encounters. BTS’ Kim Tae-hyung (V) was among the first to arrive, dressed in a striking all-black outfit. He mingled with fellow BTS member RM and other artists and fashion figures throughout the evening. The event also featured a special ballet performance by Hugo Marchand and Hannah O’Neill of the Paris Opera Ballet, with DJ Peggy Gou hosting the night.
The guest list at Paradise Art Night 2025 included big names from the entertainment industry such as BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa, actor Park Seo-joon, rapper Gray, model Kim Sung-hee, and actress Jung Ryeo-won. International figures like American producer Tommy Brown and artist Tom Sachs also attended, highlighting the event’s global appeal. The evening previewed Paradise Found, the debut Korean exhibition of New York-based artist Joel Mesler, setting the stage for Frieze Week in Seoul.
The event served as a prelude to the main Frieze Seoul fair at COEX from September 3–6, featuring over 120 galleries from Asia and beyond. This year’s edition continued to blend fine art with celebrity culture, showcasing Seoul’s growing prominence as a global creative hub. The Paradise Art Night has become a focal point of the art week, attracting a diverse and influential crowd from various industries.
