Introducing Grass League: A New Era of Fast-Paced Team Golf in the Valley

A new golf league called Grass League is introducing city-based franchises to the sport, with two teams located in the Valley. Grass League aims to popularize fast-paced, team golf and has recently secured $2.75 million in funding to support its operations and events. Phoenix United and the Scottsdale Strikers are among the franchises in the league, which allows each team to field a specific number of two-player teams at events. Most of the league's competitions take place at Grass Clippings Rolling Hills in Tempe, with the Grass League championship set for Dec. 5-6. Grass League co-founder Jake Hoselton emphasizes that par-3 golf highlights the most thrilling aspects of the game. The league broadcasts its contests live in prime time on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing from golf's traditional weekend afternoon slot.
