First Lady Melania Trump is set to lead a meeting of the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education today, bringing together Task Force members and industry leaders to discuss the future of AI in the United States. The First Lady emphasized the importance of responsible management of AI's growth, likening it to raising children and stressing the need for guidance during this early stage of development.

This gathering marks the second meeting of the Task Force since President Donald J. Trump's Executive Order on Advancing Artificial Intelligence Education for American Youth was signed on April 23, 2025. The event, spearheaded by First Lady Melania Trump, will feature speeches from Mrs. Trump, Task Force members, and representatives from over 135 organizations that have pledged their support for AI education initiatives nationwide.

Known for her advocacy for children's online safety through the BE BEST initiative, Mrs. Trump has been instrumental in promoting the protection of young individuals. Her efforts led to bipartisan backing for the TAKE IT DOWN Act, which was enacted into law on May 19, 2025. Additionally, Mrs. Trump made headlines by utilizing AI technology for the audiobook version of her bestselling book, "Melania." Recently, she launched the Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge, inviting K-12 students and educators to showcase their innovative ideas by participating in the nationwide competition through AI.Gov.
