Packers Kickoff Weekend: Music, Parties, and Celebration in Green Bay
The Green Bay Packers season opener is not just about the game; it's also about the party. Leading up to the game against the Detroit Lions on September 7th, the area around Lambeau Field will be buzzing with excitement. There will be a free concert by The Black Crowes outside the stadium the night before, a tour stop by Jason Aldean at the nearby Resch Center the night before that, and a full lineup of Stadium District bar parties to ensure three days of celebration.
The Packers' free Kickoff Weekend concert always draws a huge crowd on the eve of the home opener. This year, The Black Crowes will be performing for the first time in Green Bay since 2001. The concert will take place at 5 p.m. on September 7th in the parking lot on the northwest side of the stadium along Ridge Road. Blankets and lawn chairs are allowed, but coolers, outside food and drink, umbrellas, and tents are not permitted. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and free parking is available in the Lambeau Field lots on a first-come, first-served basis.
Jason Aldean's Full Throttle Tour will be stopping at the Resch Center on September 5th, with Nate Smith, RaeLynn, and Dee Jay Silver joining him for the 7:30 p.m. show. The concert is also celebrating Green Bay country radio station Y100's 30th anniversary. Limited additional tickets have been released for the show, with prices ranging from $119.25 to $235.25. If you're not tailgating or attending the bar bashes before the game, the Titletown district across from Lambeau Field offers a celebratory atmosphere with live music, activities, and appearances by Packers alumni.
The stadium district bar parties will be a three-day affair, with live music, food trucks, vendors, contests, DJs, and free face painting and balloon art. Country acts like Jesse Fuller, Outlaw'd, Taylor Jay, and The 308s will cater to the concert crowds, while bands like Madison County, Ask Your Mother, Johnny Wad, The Cougars, and FBI & The Untouchable Horns will entertain fans before and after the game. Additionally, the Plaza Pit Stop concert series will feature Whiskey Ditch, offering a free and open-to-the-public performance. Get ready to kick off the Packers season with a weekend full of music, fun, and celebration.
