Denver Fire Department and Denver Police Department recently faced off in their annual Battle of the Badges at Ball Arena. The Avalanche's team dog, Maxy, had the honor of performing the ceremonial puck drop, and Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews joined the players on the bench during the game.
