Experience Vintage Racing at its Finest: Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend at Road America

Road America is gearing up for the Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend from September 12 to 14, in collaboration with the Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association. This event is a nostalgic journey through time, blending classic motorsport with community festivities at the iconic Road America track, which is celebrating its 70th Anniversary. Over 300 vintage and historic race cars will compete in various classes, showcasing the evolution of racing from pre-war machines to modern production groups.

The weekend promises a diverse range of activities for all ages. Attendees can enjoy a Ferris wheel, live music by the 2/5th’s Polka Band, and a spectacular fireworks display presented by Acuity Insurance on Friday night. The Sunset Cruise on Friday offers a unique opportunity for participants to drive low-speed laps on the track before the fireworks show. Plein Air artists will showcase their trackside creations on Sunday, blending art with motorsport for a one-of-a-kind experience.

For those eager to hit the track themselves, on-track touring sessions will be available on Saturday and Sunday for street-legal sedans and sports cars. The paddock will be open all weekend, providing fans with a close-up view of the cars and an opportunity to interact with the drivers. Additionally, active-duty military members, reserve-duty personnel, and veterans with ID can enjoy FREE admission throughout the weekend as a tribute to America’s heroes.

The Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend offers non-stop racing excitement for the whole family. Weekend campsites are available for those looking to make the most of the event. Ticket prices vary by day, with free general admission for kids 16 and under accompanied by a paying adult at the gate. Rain or shine, the racing action will continue.
