Jacksonville Police Arrest Reckless Driver in Drag Race Incident
Late Friday night, Jacksonville Police responded to a dangerous drag race on Morton Ave involving two vehicles, a silver SUV, and a dark-colored sedan. The vehicles were speeding down the road when one of them, driven by 20-year-old Firmin Alidjinou, attempted to flee from the police after a traffic stop. Alidjinou's reckless actions led to a head-on collision with another vehicle driven by 24-year-old Kirsten Pierson on Tendick Street. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but both vehicles sustained significant damage. Alidjinou was arrested and charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding a Peace Officer, as well as for a Contempt of Court warrant from Cass County.
