Survivor Found: Woman Rescued After 18 Hours in Michigan Forest

A woman who went missing during a YouTube survival challenge in a northern Michigan forest has been found safe after almost 18 hours. The 36-year-old woman from California left the base camp in the Pigeon River Forest in Charlton Township to search for water and did not return. Her fellow contestants searched for her before calling 911. A coordinated search effort involving the Otsego County Sheriff's Office and Michigan State Police led to her discovery in a swampy area. The woman, who had been missing in cold and rainy conditions, was located by a MSP helicopter and guided to safety by ground officers. She was evaluated by EMS and released with no further injuries. The successful outcome was attributed to the collaborative efforts of local first responders and partner agencies.
