Team Canada Gears Up for ISU Junior Grand Prix in Bangkok, Thailand
The Canadian figure skating team is gearing up for the fourth stop on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit in Bangkok, Thailand, from Sept. 9–13, 2025. The team consists of ten talented athletes competing in various categories. Jazmine Desrochers and Kieran Thrasher, two-time Grand Prix Final junior pair bronze medallists, are aiming for the podium after their silver win at the 2025 NextGen Competition. They will be joined by Beau Callahan and Vladimir Furman in the pairs event, a newly formed duo making their JGP debut. In ice dance, Charlie Anderson and Cayden Dawson, along with Victoria Carandiuc and Andrei Carandiuc, will showcase their skills after recent successes in Ankara, Turkey, and Lake Placid, respectively. Anthony Paradis, the senior men’s national silver medallist, will represent Canada in the men’s event, looking to continue his strong performances from earlier competitions. Victoria Barakhtina will make her JGP debut in the women's event after securing the silver medal at the NextGen Competition.
