Stanley Cup Visits Cape Cod: A Tradition of Champions

The Stanley Cup, a prestigious trophy in the National Hockey League, made a visit to Cape Cod this summer. Florida Panthers assistant general manager Brett Peterson brought the Cup to The Port Restaurant in Harwich and the Wychmere Beach Club on August 27th. The Panthers, who won the Cup this year, have now repeated as champions. In previous years, the Cup was also brought to the Captain’s Golf Course in Brewster by adviser to the general manager Paul Fenton after the Panthers' first title in 2024. This marks the third consecutive summer that the Stanley Cup has made its way to Cape Cod.
In 2023, former Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy celebrated his victory with the Vegas Golden Knights by bringing the Stanley Cup to a Cape Cod beach. Additionally, the Cup was toured around Falmouth after the Bruins secured their last championship in 2011. The tradition of sharing the Stanley Cup with Cape Cod residents and visitors continues to be a special and exciting event each summer.
