1587 Prime: A Celebrity-Backed Steakhouse Experience in Kansas City

1587 Prime steakhouse is set to open its doors on September 17 in Kansas City, generating buzz as a new upscale dining destination. Co-founded by Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, the restaurant is located within the Loews Kansas City Hotel. The menu offers a blend of high-end cuisine with personal touches from the players and their families, such as a signature cocktail inspired by Taylor Swift. Mahomes shared details about the Swift-themed drink, named "The Alchemy," during an interview on 610 Sports Radio, expressing excitement about its potential popularity.
Developed in partnership with Noble 33 hospitality group, 1587 Prime aims to provide a unique dining experience that engages all the senses. The restaurant's interior features a stadium-inspired entrance, a lively 20-seat bar with live music, and an expansive upstairs dining area with exclusive access. The name "1587" pays homage to Mahomes' jersey number (15) and Kelce's (87), reflecting the collaboration between the two Chiefs players.
"The Alchemy" cocktail, inspired by a track from Swift's 2024 album, "The Tortured Poets Department," is crafted with a blend of citrus vodka, dry curaƧao, aronia berry, cranberry, strawberry, lime, and oolong tea. It is part of a special "Players" cocktail section that includes drinks dedicated to Mahomes ("Showtime"), Kelce ("Big Yeti"), and Brittany Mahomes ("Queen B"). With its unique offerings and celebrity ties, 1587 Prime is poised to become a popular dining spot in Kansas City.
