Alice: A Groundbreaking Series Celebrating the Legacy of the First Female Director

HBO Max and France Télévisions have begun filming a six-part series in Paris called "Alice," which tells the story of Alice Guy Blaché, the world's first female director. The series will follow Alice's journey from Paris to New York and early Hollywood, showcasing her defiance of conventions and her pursuit of recognition in the film industry. The filming will take place in France, Belgium, and Canada until December.
The series stars Bérénice Bejo as Alice, alongside Thibaut Evrard, Oscar Lesage, Irène Jacob, Yannick Choirat, and other talented actors. The show is created by Tim Loane and Claire Lemaréchal, co-directed by Virginie Verrier and Guillaume Lonergan, and co-produced by HBO Max and France Télévisions, among other production companies.
