Fox News Channel Revamps Weekend Programming Lineup with 'The Sunday Briefing' and More Exciting Changes

Fox News Channel is making changes to its weekend programming lineup. The long-running show "MediaBuzz" hosted by Howard Kurtz will be replaced by a new program called "The Sunday Briefing," featuring Washington correspondents Jacqui Heinrich and Peter Doocy in a single-anchor format. Kurtz will continue as a Fox News contributor and may also host a podcast focusing on media industry movements.
Fox News is the last major national TV news outlet to cover the media industry regularly, as other networks have made cuts to similar programs. CNN, for example, canceled its long-running show "Reliable" as part of cost-cutting measures. Kurtz expressed pride in the success of "MediaBuzz" but acknowledged the changing media landscape.
In addition to the changes in programming, Kayleigh McEnany, former Trump White House Press Secretary, will host her own show called "Saturday in America." Griff Jenkins will co-host the weekend edition of "Fox & Friends," and Johnny Joey Jones and Tomi Lahren will join "The Big Weekend Show," which will expand to three hours on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Fox News President Jay Wallace emphasized the network's commitment to delivering comprehensive coverage with the new lineup. "The Sunday Briefing" will focus on news related to the White House, with Heinrich and Doocy providing analysis on national and international developments. Jenkins will join the weekend edition of "Fox & Friends," while McEnany will use her show to engage with newsmakers from politics and culture.
