Rare Beatles Autographs Up for Auction: A Teenage Fan's Treasured Collection
A collection of autographs from all four members of The Beatles, obtained by a teenage fan in 1963, is up for auction at a Lichfield auction house. The signed photograph, featuring John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, was signed before a concert in the Midlands and will be auctioned at Richard Winterton Auctioneers on 29th September. The seller, Chris Barrows, shared that his late brother Phil, accompanied by their father Ron, who was Steinway’s chief piano tuner for the Midlands, had the opportunity to meet The Beatles at the Coventry Theatre in 1963. Phil even had a chance to jam with the band and received a signed photo with a personal message from the group. The autographs are expected to fetch between £1,500 and £2,000 at the auction.
