The Bold & the Beautiful Makes History with Groundbreaking LGBTQ Representation

The Bold & the Beautiful is making history with the addition of actor Harrison Cone to the cast. Cone, known for his roles in Ick and I Wish You All the Best, will portray an aspiring designer in a relationship with Remy Pryce, played by Christian Weissmann. His character will debut at Forrester Creations on September 16. This marks the first time B&B will feature a gay male couple who will share an on-screen kiss, a groundbreaking moment for the show.

B&B has a history of LGBTQ representation, with the introduction of the first lesbian couple, Karen Spencer and Danielle, in 2012. In 2015, Maya Avant became the first regular transgender character in daytime television. The show has continued to push boundaries with diverse and inclusive storylines.

Other daytime dramas have also featured gay male couples, such as Luke Snyder and Noah Mayer on As the World Turns and Will Horton and Sonny Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives. Beyond the Gates, a CBS show, features an interracial gay couple portrayed by Brandon Claybon and Mike Manning.

Christian Weissmann, who joined B&B in 2024, has been recognized for his talent with a Daytime Emmy nomination in the Emerging Talent category this year. The Daytime Emmys are scheduled for October 17 in Pasadena. Cone's acting credits include appearances in Hacks, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and American Horror Stories.

The addition of Harrison Cone to The Bold & the Beautiful represents a significant step forward in LGBTQ representation on daytime television. With a talented cast and a commitment to diverse storytelling, the show continues to break new ground and engage audiences with compelling characters and storylines.
